Lunchtime just got chic! Clutch bags have been a go to staple for a night on the town for some time now. But more and more women have been carrying daytime clutch bags. One that seems to be super popular is the envelope bag. I love how these bags look with a pair of skinny jeans, a simple top, and flats. I know what you’re thinking, where will I put all my stuff? I wondered the same thing, but it was a nice change from my larger overly stuffed bag. This is the Maison Scotch bag made by Revolve. The bright blue color is definitely on trend and it also comes in red. Leave your big bags at home and try a daytime clutch, trust me your shoulders will thank you!!!

Colored leather cuffs are definitely what time it is! Instead of wearing the typical bangles, sometimes I want a different look. I might throw on plain leather cuff, or a cuff with bangles for some edge. Cuffs fit nicely to the arm and some have added details that jazz them up. These cuffs are made by Tory Burch and come in an array of colors. Cuffs are also a great choice if you have problems finding the right bracelets to fit your arm. Also, most cuffs have two or three levels of adjustment so you can get the perfect fit.
So, there has been so much buzz lately about wide leg pants that I wanted to try them out. I went to the mall after a long day of class (which has proven time and time again to cause me to walk out with numerous bags) and purchased a pair of high waisted BCBG wide leg pants. I wore them for the first time today. I love them. I feel like it’s a more mature look, but is still trendy. The best part is they don’t break the bank and they are super comfortable. I wore a basic black cami and some high heeled black sandals. I was going for a more relaxed look. Another way to wear this trend is to take it up a notch and put on a flowey top. This is a more elegant look and can be worn day or night. No matter how you wear them wide leg pants are definitely a good investment. P.S. I also tried this with a long sleeved denim shirt. I tied the bottom of the shirt in a knot right above the top of the pants and rolled the sleeves up a bit. Depending on the color of your pants this is another great option.
So have you ever seen a piece of clothing and stopped dead in your tracks because it was absolutely amazing? This is what happened to me when I saw this dress. First let me say that not all maxi dresses are created equal, but this one is a winner (#winning). I love the boho feel and the fit is just right. What I love about this dress is that it is not plain but still keeps your interest. Maxi dresses are awesome picks for the spring/summer because they are a throw on and go item. Another reason why maxi dresses rock is because they are easy to find in a variety of colors and price ranges. This particular one is a Winter Kate Kamakura Kimono Maxi Dress. However, I recently purchased a purple halter neck maxi dress from Heritage for under $ 20 that is very different but equally FAB.
Recently Celebrities such as Beyonce and Kimmy K have been seen in cap-toe heels. I love this look but realistically I don’t want to wear high heeled shoes every single day. So, I found an alternative that is very chic and more comfortable. Cap-toe flats. I love love love this pair by Kate Spade. I like the mixture of the cork and bright color it’s very unexpected and fun.
I also had to throw these in the mix. The stripes and bright toe really makes these shoes pop. This pair is by ASOS and they are $43.49.
Lastly, for my ladies that swear by their heels, these are also made by ASOS and are so unique. I’m loving the polka dots (which is also a big trend right now, Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs). These are also reasonably priced at $78.28! One thing is for sure you will definitely turn heads in these shoes.
Along with colorful Jeans, bright blazers all are the rage. Kimmy K is seen here wearing a bright pink blazer. I love how she paired it with those peach colored jeans. The blazer she is wearing is made by Naven and the price is $363.00. If you are looking for a more affordable option I recently found an array of brightly colored blazers at H&M all for under $40! As previously posted, forever 21 has a lot of brightly colored jeans just in case you want to try this look at home. Although colored jeans have been making their way around the fashion scene for some time now, designers seem to be making the colors bolder and brighter. Recently I ran into a girlfriend who had on a bright yellow pair of skinny jeans! Sadly, when I went to purchase them they were sold out, and for good reason they were smokin! However, I was able to find a pair of bright orange skinnys at Forever 21. They were less than $30 and fit like a dream. I can’t wait to wear them. I tried them on with a pink blazer and that combination was everything. In honor of Forever 21 for making my day today here are some different colored jeans to try out. Also, I have received several emails asking what to wear colored jeans with, so if you have pic of yourself in colored jeans let us see!
P.S. If you simply CANNOT live without your bright yellow jeans I did find this pair which is super cute and not too heavy on the wallet either.
Spring is finally here! (spins around and dances a jig). Spring fashion comes with a burst of color, from coral lips to multi colored patterned dresses. I love to wear bright colors anytime of the year but it seems most fitting in the spring. Where I live the temperature is 40 degrees one day and 75 the next, so I take advantage of the sunshine and warm weather when it comes. My assignment to you, darlings, is to go through your closet and pick some bright vibrant colors to wear today. You will look FAB and it will lift your spirits.
How do you wear your sheer shirts? There are so many ways to wear them. What I like best about sheer tops is that they are easy to layer. Sheer tops can also be worn all year long. They are nice and airy for the spring, yet look great under suit jackets in the fall. The Look I like most is the sheer shirt with the bandeau underneath. If you aren’t feeling as risky, wear a tank top underneath instead. Sheer tops can be found anywhere from Forever 21, to Norstrom, or even TJMAXX. They can also come in handy as a flirty night wear top, or in reverse, can be worn to work . For our business professionals, a sheer shirt with a tank underneath and a high waist pencil skirt would be a killer outfit. I would even top it off with a neck scarf, just to add a little more flavor.
